Maya Maniar is a producer of new work from the San Francisco Bay Area. She initially approached the arts from an acting perspective, graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. After performing for a few years, Maya got her start producing as the 2050 Administrative Fellow for the Artistic Department at New York Theatre Workshop. While there, she helped produce workshops of Martyna Majok’s Sanctuary City, Keenan Scott II’s Thoughts of a Colored Man, and a benefit reading of Caryl Churchill’s A Number directed by Sam Gold and starring Daniel Craig. She then went on to work at Creative Artists Agency under Kevin Lin (Agent and Co-Head of Cultural Business Strategy) and most recently worked for Mark Gordon Pictures. Maya is currently earning an accounting certificate from UC Berkeley and was part of ArtEquity’s BIPOC Leadership Circle for the 2021/2022 season.
